DEWRION RETURNS AND REFUNDS POLICY
Last Updated: 9 October 2026
1. Our Commitment to Customers
This website is operated by Danie Adendorff, trading as DEWRION: The Brave Ones.
At DEWRION, we want every customer to enjoy a straightforward, reliable and satisfying shopping experience.
Our products include children's books, clothing, accessories and merchandise, many of which are produced through specialist print-on-demand manufacturing services.
We aim to supply products that meet their descriptions and comply with applicable quality and safety requirements.
If something is wrong with your order, or you wish to return an eligible product, we are here to assist.
This policy explains how to cancel an eligible purchase, return products, request refunds and report faulty, damaged or incorrect items.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights.
2. How to Contact Us About a Return
If you wish to cancel an eligible purchase, return a product or report a problem with your order, please contact DEWRION.
Email: ddaniead@aol.com
Telephone: +44 7908 072144
Website: https://dewrion.store
Please provide your name, order number and sufficient information to identify the purchase.
You do not need to provide a reason when exercising your statutory right to cancel an eligible purchase.
If a product is faulty, damaged or incorrect, please describe the problem and include photographs where reasonably possible. This helps us investigate and resolve the matter efficiently.
We will explain the appropriate next steps and provide return instructions where required.
Please contact us for the appropriate return address. If we have not provided a designated return address, your statutory rights concerning where goods may be returned remain unaffected.
3. Your Right to Cancel an Online Purchase
Under UK consumer protection legislation, customers purchasing eligible goods online generally have the right to cancel an order without giving a reason within 14 days after receiving the goods.
If an order contains several items delivered separately, the cancellation period may run from the date the final item is received.
To exercise this right, please notify DEWRION clearly before the applicable cancellation period expires.
You may do so by email or another clear written statement.
You do not need to explain why you wish to cancel an eligible purchase.
After notifying us of cancellation, you generally have a further 14 days to return the goods.
Certain statutory exceptions may apply, including some genuinely personalised or made-to-specification products.
These exceptions are explained in Section 7.
4. Returning Unwanted Products
If you change your mind about an eligible purchase, you may return the product in accordance with your statutory cancellation rights.
We ask customers to take reasonable care of products while they are in their possession.
When returning an item, please:
-
Contact DEWRION or otherwise notify us clearly of your decision to cancel.
-
Follow the return instructions provided.
-
Package the item carefully to protect it during transportation.
-
Use a suitable postal or courier service.
-
Retain proof of posting or return tracking.
We recommend using a tracked postal or courier service.
For ordinary change-of-mind returns, customers are responsible for the direct cost of returning goods where this has been properly disclosed before purchase.
Where goods are faulty, incorrect or otherwise fail to conform to the contract, different legal requirements apply. DEWRION will meet return costs where required by law.
5. Condition of Returned Products
For ordinary change-of-mind cancellations, customers are entitled to inspect products to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, as they could reasonably do in a physical shop.
However, customers may be responsible for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary.
For clothing, we recommend that items are:
-
Tried on carefully.
-
Kept clean.
-
Not washed or worn for extended use.
-
Returned with original labels and packaging where reasonably possible.
For books, we recommend protecting them from damage, writing, stains or excessive handling.
The absence of original packaging does not automatically remove statutory cancellation rights.
Where permitted by law, a deduction may be made from a refund to reflect diminished value resulting from excessive handling.
These conditions do not limit statutory remedies for faulty or misdescribed goods.
6. Print-on-Demand Products
Certain DEWRION products are manufactured or printed only after a customer places an order.
These may include:
-
T-shirts and children's clothing.
-
Hats and aprons.
-
Cups and mugs.
-
Drinking containers.
-
Printed merchandise.
-
Books produced through print-on-demand services.
The fact that a product is manufactured after purchase does not automatically remove the customer's statutory cancellation rights.
Ordinary catalogue products manufactured through print-on-demand generally remain subject to applicable cancellation rights unless a lawful exception applies.
We therefore distinguish between standard catalogue products and genuinely personalised or made-to-specification goods.
7. Personalised and Custom-Made Products
Certain products may be manufactured to an individual customer's specifications or clearly personalised for that customer.
Where applicable law provides an exception, these products may not qualify for the ordinary 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right.
The exception depends on the nature of the product, not merely the use of print-on-demand manufacturing.
Where relevant, product descriptions or checkout information will explain the applicable cancellation restriction before purchase.
Personalised goods that are faulty, damaged, incorrectly manufactured or materially different from their descriptions remain subject to applicable statutory remedies.
8. Refunds for Cancelled Orders
Where a customer validly cancels an eligible purchase, DEWRION will provide the refund required by applicable law.
This will normally include the price of the returned goods and the applicable original standard delivery charge.
Where the customer selected a more expensive delivery option, we are not ordinarily required to refund the additional amount above the least expensive standard delivery option offered.
Refunds will be made without undue delay and within the applicable statutory period.
Where goods must be returned, we may withhold reimbursement until the goods are received or the customer provides evidence of return, as permitted by law.
Refunds will normally be issued through the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed.
Your bank or payment provider may require additional processing time before the refund appears in your account.
9. Faulty or Defective Products
DEWRION aims to supply products of satisfactory quality, fit for their intended purpose and consistent with their descriptions.
If you receive a faulty or defective item, please contact us.
Email: ddaniead@aol.com
Please provide your order number, a description of the problem and, where reasonably possible, photographs of the item.
We will investigate the matter and explain the available remedies.
Under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, customers may have a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of delivery.
Where the statutory conditions are satisfied, customers may be entitled to a refund.
After the initial 30-day period, other remedies, including repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, may remain available depending on the circumstances.
We will not refuse a legitimate statutory claim solely because more than 30 days have passed since delivery.
Where a return is necessary because goods are faulty or fail to conform to the contract, DEWRION will bear the reasonable costs required by applicable law.
10. Damaged Items
If an item arrives damaged during manufacturing, packaging or delivery, please contact us promptly.
We recommend providing photographs showing the damage and any relevant packaging.
This helps us investigate the incident with the relevant manufacturer or delivery provider.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable consumer rights, we will arrange an appropriate remedy, which may include a replacement or refund.
Customers are not required to resolve manufacturing or delivery problems directly with Gelato or another production provider.
DEWRION remains responsible for its obligations as the retailer.
11. Incorrect Products
If you receive a product that differs from what you ordered, please notify us.
Examples may include:
-
An incorrect book title.
-
An incorrect clothing size or colour.
-
A different product from the one ordered.
-
An incorrect printed design.
-
Missing items from an order.
Please provide your order number and a brief description of the problem.
Where possible, include photographs.
We will investigate the discrepancy and arrange an appropriate correction, replacement or refund in accordance with applicable law.
Customers will not be expected to pay additional delivery charges to correct an error for which DEWRION is responsible.
12. Exchanges
If you wish to exchange an item for a different size, colour or product, please contact us before returning it.
Because some DEWRION merchandise is produced on demand, direct exchanges may not always be operationally available.
Where a voluntary exchange is unavailable, customers may return an eligible product under their cancellation rights and place a new order.
Any difference in price will be addressed as part of the relevant transaction.
Requests concerning faulty or incorrectly supplied goods will be handled according to applicable statutory rights rather than being treated solely as voluntary exchanges.
13. Manufacturing and Printing Variations
DEWRION uses third-party printing and manufacturing facilities for certain products.
Minor differences may occur between product photographs, digital previews and manufactured items.
Examples include slight differences in colour appearance caused by screen settings or normal manufacturing tolerances.
However, products must still conform to their descriptions and meet applicable quality requirements.
A significant printing defect, incorrect design, material fault or substantial deviation from the advertised product may give rise to statutory remedies.
We assess such matters according to the circumstances and applicable consumer law.
14. Delivery Problems and Missing Parcels
If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery period, please contact us.
We will investigate the matter with the relevant fulfilment provider and courier.
Where goods are lost before the risk has lawfully passed to the customer, DEWRION remains responsible under applicable law.
We will arrange an appropriate remedy where required.
Customers will not be required to bear losses caused by a courier or fulfilment provider where the retailer remains legally responsible.
Please ensure that the delivery address supplied at checkout is accurate.
If you discover an address error, notify us promptly. Once production or dispatch has begun, changes may not always be possible.
15. Return Shipping Costs
For eligible change-of-mind cancellations, customers are generally responsible for the direct cost of returning goods, provided the required information was disclosed before purchase.
For faulty, defective, incorrectly supplied or otherwise non-conforming goods, DEWRION will meet return costs where required by applicable law.
Please contact us for the appropriate return instructions and address.
Returns may need to be directed to a designated location rather than our business correspondence address.
If no designated return address has been provided, customers retain their applicable statutory rights concerning where goods may be returned.
16. International Returns
DEWRION operates from the United Kingdom and may supply products to customers in other countries.
International customers may have cancellation, return and refund rights under applicable consumer legislation.
Where mandatory laws provide additional or different protections, those rights will be respected.
Return arrangements may vary depending on the country, product and fulfilment location.
Customers should contact DEWRION for appropriate return instructions before sending an international parcel.
Any applicable customs documentation or other practical requirements will be explained where necessary.
17. How Refunds Are Processed
DEWRION processes refunds in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.
Where a customer exercises a valid statutory right to cancel an eligible purchase, reimbursement will be made without undue delay.
Where goods must be returned, the refund will be issued no later than 14 days after:
-
DEWRION receives the returned goods; or
-
The customer provides evidence that the goods have been sent back, if this occurs earlier.
Where goods have not been dispatched or do not need to be returned, reimbursement will ordinarily be made within 14 days after DEWRION receives the customer's valid cancellation notice.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless the customer expressly agrees otherwise.
DEWRION will not charge customers a fee for receiving a statutory refund.
We will notify customers when their refund has been processed.
The time required for the payment to appear in a customer's account may depend on the relevant bank or payment provider.
Refunds relating to faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied products will be handled in accordance with the customer's applicable statutory rights.
18. Your Statutory Consumer Rights
This Returns and Refunds Policy operates alongside consumer rights available under applicable law.
For UK customers, relevant legislation includes:
-
Consumer Rights Act 2015.
-
Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
These laws provide protections concerning distance purchases, satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose, accurate descriptions and appropriate remedies.
Nothing in this policy removes or restricts rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where applicable, consumers in other jurisdictions retain mandatory rights provided by relevant local legislation.
19. Changes to This Policy
DEWRION may update this Returns and Refunds Policy to reflect changes in our business, suppliers, operating procedures or applicable legislation.
The most recent version will be made available through our website.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights arising under an existing contract or applicable law.
